Ron123,

Incredible mod...Been running them a lot for a couple days and these are most likely the best looking cars in the game.

I have a couple questions. 1) Should the cars go faster than 170 on the oval at Indy? Max speed is 170 mph. 2) Are there more skins anywhere? I count 19 skins with the mod and the 2 updates. If ever there has been a mod that screams for more cars it is this one.

Bottom line is this is top notch Ron123, can't say thank you enough for this one

Hi Scott, I haven't run the cars on an oval but make sure the car is not bottoming out and scraping the speed off. Try putting the tires pressures right up as this can help too. Let us know how ya go m8. yes, yes thumbup

Thank you GD for the reply. The cars max out at 170 in 6th gear no matter the track they are running at. Another issue is the wings coming off to easy that I fixed with moving the damage for wings to 2900. Now the problem I can't figure out is why do the cars not come out for qualifying. At 75Osterreich 1 car qualified....the rest sat in the pits......at another track 23 out of 44 cars qualified.....now I would say that is a torque problem but all the cars run the same engine....so how is it varying so much on who qualifies? I found more skins also.

Hopefully GD someone who has had the mod for awhile had the issue also and will read this. they will be able to shed light on the cars not leaving the pits problem....Just to verify that it wasn't the track I ran a race with another set of cars immediately after and every car qualified....so it is definitely something with the mod....

Thanks for the reply Ron123. Love the mod by the way.

The Indy cars had one car qualify at 75Osterriech....I ran the Daytona Proto mod I have and all of the cars qualified at the same track. I will do some more testing with the comparison between cars from the Indycar and other mods at various tracks to see if the issue stays

Re: Dallara IndyCar Grid Autosport [Released]

I have been manually watching pitstops for the AI cars and I am 99% sure the problem with the cars is the engine....After the cars pit they either don't have the power to start moving out of the pit or they move slow slow slow....slowly getting speed until they leave the pits..... So I would bet the farm that it is the lower engine portion has not enough torque to get the cars moving. This will also explain the cars not moving for practice or qualifying. Hopefully my buddy Zipdrive can help me work this out.

Also I was reading about these cars....the top speed at testing at Indy I believe was 218 mph. The cars in the mod max out at 170 mph.

@ Scotty,

I tried the mod on 1988 1977 Le Mans and managed 188mph, still slow but marginally better. yes, yes

You can check out the speed of a mod with the tool I have just posted on this Site:- http://trackaholics.nstars.org/t2652-check-out-the-speed-of-your-mod-etc#48284

Anyone else wanting this tool please feel free to download. I am not the Author ! ! ! thumbup

Hi Scott, these cars should lap Indy at about the speed they do in real life, to me this sounds like a gear or final drive ratio issue, and i'm pretty new to GTR 2 so i haven't tried to adjust anything car wise on any mod yet, guess i will try it out to see what i can get. P.s. if you are still in Kabul CYA and stay safe! If i find out anything earth shattering i will post it here lol.

Good to hear that, i tried it out today at Martinsville just to see how it compared with the Cup cars (Dodge Charger),i drive with an x360 controller 'cause i'm too lazy too hook up my wheel and i can lap 2 sec. faster there with the Dallara just loading up and lapping. I did notice going into the setup in the garage section that the final drive ratio is set to give a top speed of about 170 with the "stock"(unadjusted) setup. So that's why it tops out at that speed. At Indy i get up to 171 on the back straight and that's it. Looking forward to hopefully seeing the adjusted files soon!

Am12, the change made to the first entry in the engine file is this ( 0.0, -58.4, -58.0) . I haven't had a car get stuck during a pitting since that change....by the way the change came from Zipdrive. I saw screen shots of the cars at Indy with some changes made to everything and they are doing 220 down the back stretch...
