I have just tested your update and the play crashes with the same message...

there is no dds file for tire wall bing read for some reason on your pc try unpacking the .tex and keep the loose dds files in the folder

I am satisfied with the Mitsubishi kit1 for the moment...
But While waiting for true a solution for Mods kit2 and kit4.

Do you have problem with every car from kit 2 and 4 ? Coz I recently reinstalled GTR2 ... and I don't have any CTD

but lol there lies a problem all kits tire walls read the same dds files so if kit 1 reads the tire wall then the tire wall dds file must be there

i found problem
on kit 2 & kit 4
it can run Specifically
"full" in LOD vehicles setting (GTR2 Default Graphic/Video setting in full)

my install set LOD vehicles in "HIGH"
Kit0 and Kit1 is support but kit2 and kit 4 is not.

It's strange problem/bug... scratch scratch scratch

I try both kit2 & kit 4 on all LOD vehicles setting in video option in game
"LOW","Medium","FULL" LOD it work fine
but only "HIGH" LOD has got CTD

yes weird as it runs fine here.
i tested the mod in a clean and modded gtr2.
also tested different quality settings and no ctd's.

I had made exactly the same test as haruo but without success, for this reason I gave up these two cars. (why kits 0 & 1 function…it is a mystery).
Now Evo IX arrives...perhaps will be lucky more.

Its strange indeed as all kits use the same textures.
All i can say is, install a 2nd version of gtr2 on your computer and see what happens then.

Thanks to irjky pointing out a typo error by me please try this if it works then i will upload the cas file

in your file : Mitsubishi_EvoX4.cas

open it in notepad the scroll down to :

Instance=LRTIRE

then look for

<HIGH> MeshFile=Mitsubishi_evox4_WHEEL_LR_style<4>.GMT CollTarget=False HATTarget=False ShadowReceiver=True LODIn=(0.00) LODOut=(50.0)

change the last line to
