Copa Montana from Automobilista

Post  Snowmeow on Thu 17 Aug - 4:05

To the ones that aren't Brazilian, I'll explain:
The main touring class in Brazil is named "Stock Car" - Although that it resembles more to classes like Center-American GT1 or Japanese SuperGT, with that widebody silhouette configuration - and to enter in that steamy cockpits, or you are a good pilot, or you have a good budget. Just like Formula 1.
So, there's a class slightly under Stock Car, that is like a trial. For years, it was called "Stock Car Light" and used less powerful engines.
When Stock Car started to use silhouette Vectra in the place of the old Chevrolet Omega, Stock Car Light remained with the Omegas.
Some years later, when the bubble was switched from Vectra to Astra, Stock Car Light passed to use an Astra silhouette too - But while the main category used Astra sedan, the "Light" used Astra hatch.
When MItsubishi entered the game, VICAR bought the rights over a category named "Pickup Racing", that was doing a relative success, and the pilots of "Light" used silhouette versions of Chevrolet S-10 and Mitsubishi L200 pickups.
More two years have passed, and after Volkswagen and Peogeot have entered - And Volkswagen and Mitsubishi have deserted in the following year - Stock Car got a new chassis, that let the cars more aggressive. But the older chassis needed to be used someway. So, Chevrolet and VICAR decided that a new cup would be assembled to replace Pickup Racing: Rises Copa Montana, using that old recipe of make a silhouette of a car (In this case, Chevrolet Montana pickup). It remained for two years, until VICAR change everything again and create the Campeonato Brasileiro de Turismo (Brazilian Touring Car Championship) that, instead ANY "XTCC" worldwide that uses real cars, uses silhouettes of a ficticious model, not identified with any car brand)

This mod is a "double conversion": Someone converted it from Automobilista to Game Stock Car Extreme, and I made the way from Game Stock Car Extreme to RFactor. It's, because this, kinda "heavy": 222 Mb.

Hope you enjoy it.
